Make one event per gig — each gets its own crowd QR + big-screen page.
⚠️ Heads up — requesting doesn't guarantee a play. The DJ pulls from the most-hyped tracks and reads the room. Keep voting to push your song up the list!
How voting works: tap any song to vote — 🔥 Want it, 🔥🔥 Need it, 🔥🔥🔥 GOTTA have it (gas), or 💩 it's ass to boo it down. Hype lifts a song; boos drag it down.
House rules: 🏆 the Top 3 most-hyped are in consideration to be played. 🔒 hit 100 hype and it's locked in automatically. 💸 want a sure thing? Guarantee it for $25 — tap 🔒 on your song (DJ's call on fit, within reason). Heads up: not every track makes the set — the DJ reads the room and has the final say, so keep voting to push yours up! Add your name to request; voting's always free.
How's the DJ doing right now? One tap.
Welcome to The Hype Line ("the Service"), a live song-request and crowd-voting platform operated by Coach Mike Entertainment LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), which provides the Service under the brand name The Hype Line. By accessing or using the Service — whether as a DJ with an account or as a member of the crowd submitting or voting on requests — you agree to these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The Hype Line lets DJs run live request lines for their events. The crowd can submit song requests, vote ("hype" or "boo") on tracks, and optionally send tips or song-guarantee payments directly to the DJ. DJs sign in to manage events; the crowd participates anonymously without an account. Requesting or voting on a song does not guarantee it will be played — the DJ always has final say over what is played and reads the room at their discretion.
To run events you must create an account with accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create a DJ account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You agree not to: submit unlawful, hateful, harassing, obscene, or infringing content; impersonate others; spam, flood, or manipulate votes; attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service; or use the Service to harm, harass, or defraud anyone. We use automated and manual filters to limit abuse, and DJs may hide, remove, or block any request or participant at their discretion.
Tips and song-guarantee payments are made directly between the crowd and the DJ through third-party services such as Venmo. The Hype Line is not a party to these transactions, does not process, hold, or transmit these funds, and takes no commission on them. All such payments are voluntary, are not required to use the Service, and are handled solely between the crowd member and the DJ. A song "guarantee" reflects the DJ's good-faith intent to play a track within reason; the DJ retains final say over fit and timing. Any disputes over tips or guarantees are solely between the crowd member and the DJ.
Paid DJ plans are billed on a recurring basis through our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com, who handles payment and sales tax. Prices and features are described at sign-up and may change with notice. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you may cancel at any time and your plan remains active through the end of the current billing period. Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase as described in our Refund Policy.
You retain ownership of the content you submit (song requests, names, messages). By submitting content you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and use it for operating the Service. You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the right to share it. Song titles, artist names, and similar references remain the property of their respective owners; the Service does not stream, host, or distribute copyrighted recordings.
We collect limited information to run the Service, including DJ account details (email, DJ name, optional Venmo handle) and crowd-submitted names and votes. We do not sell personal information. Crowd participation is pseudonymous and does not require an account. Continued use of the Service constitutes consent to this handling of data.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or uninterrupted operation. We do not guarantee that any request will be played, that events will run without interruption, or that the Service will be error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Hype Line and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any tips, guarantees, or payments made between the crowd and DJs. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the three months before the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Hype Line and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time for conduct that violates these Terms or harms the Service or others. You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
The Service is available to users across the United States. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Regardless of where you access the Service, any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Montana, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

This Privacy Policy explains how Coach Mike Entertainment LLC, operating as The Hype Line ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects information when you use our live song-request and crowd-voting service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
DJs (account holders): your email address, DJ/stage name, and optional Venmo handle, which you provide when creating an account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name and email) to create your account.
The crowd (no account): the display name you type when submitting a request or shout-out, the songs you request, and the votes you cast. We store a random anonymous device identifier in your browser to prevent duplicate voting and abuse — it is not tied to your real identity.
Automatically: basic technical data such as approximate usage and device/browser information needed to run and secure the Service.
We use this information to operate the Service — to display requests and votes in real time, run the big-screen and DJ views, prevent spam and abuse, process DJ subscriptions, provide support, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.
Tips and song-guarantee payments happen directly between the crowd and the DJ through third-party services such as Venmo. We do not collect, process, or store your payment card or bank details for those transactions. DJ subscription payments are handled by our third-party payment processor; we do not store your full card number.
We rely on trusted third parties to run the Service, including Google Firebase (database, authentication, hosting infrastructure), Netlify (website hosting), Venmo (fan-to-DJ tips, controlled by you and the DJ), and Paddle.com (our Merchant of Record for DJ subscription payments). These providers process data only as needed to provide their services and under their own privacy terms.
We use your browser's local storage for essential functions — keeping you signed in (DJs), remembering your display name, and storing the anonymous voting identifier. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Event data (requests, votes, shout-outs) is retained to provide recaps and history to the DJ and may be cleared when an event ends or upon request. DJ account data is kept while the account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 9).
We use industry-standard measures, including access-controlled database rules and encrypted connections, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and DJ accounts require users to be 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live (including under laws such as the CCPA and GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us at justaskthedj@gmail.com and we will respond as required by law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for paid subscriptions to The Hype Line, operated by Coach Mike Entertainment LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). Subscription payments are processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. By subscribing, you agree to this policy together with our Terms & Conditions.
DJ plans (Pro and Venue/Crew) are billed on a recurring basis — monthly or annually, depending on the plan you choose. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
Our Free plan is, and always will be, free — no payment, nothing to refund. We encourage you to try the Free tier before upgrading so you know the Service fits your needs.
If you are not satisfied with a paid subscription, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase. We honor every refund request made within this 14-day window. Refunds are issued to your original payment method through Paddle.

Tips and $25 song-guarantee payments are made directly between the crowd and the DJ over services like Venmo — The Hype Line never receives or holds this money, so we cannot refund it. Any refund of a tip or guarantee is solely between the crowd member and the DJ. A song "guarantee" reflects the DJ's good-faith intent to play a track within reason, subject to the DJ's final discretion on fit and timing.
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
